In the 1970s and 1980s when ceiling tiles were still a new phenomenon, one material which was commonly used in it was Asbestos, asbestos ceiling tiles were the most commonly used ceiling tiles in homes and offices across the country. It has been the part of construction and interior designing industry for a long time, asbestos is a toxic chemical based fibrous material used in building materials as fire retardant. The chemical is extremely toxic and is the originator of the many painful and severe diseases like asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma.
