Building products refers to the materials used for the construction of buildings. There are varied kinds of materials that are needed for the construction of buildings and other industrial sites. If you see in any town or city, there are lots of constructions works are going on. Due to the heavy demand of properties, the construction industry has flourished. There are primarily two types of building products – natural materials and synthetic materials.
The natural materials that are used in construction purpose include straw, stone, rocks, clay and twigs. The synthetic materials are the man made materials that are needed for the construction purpose and include metals and plastic. In earlier days very few materials were used in the construction purpose like stone, straw and rock. But these days in order to build a sturdy and stronger building a variety of materials are used. The building products that are most commonly needed for construction work include rock, cement, brick, wood, metal, ice, glass, rubber and plastic.
