FALSE CEILING DESIGNS


Ceiling are often left out of the plans of many who design their house or office, it is one section that is often ignored. But when you look up to your ceiling you will find monotonous designs, cables or plain simple POP work. If you are considering to get rid of that monotonous design, or just want to make it look cooler and more elegant, you can consider a false ceiling for your house. False ceilings come in variety of designs giving your look the perfect design and look that will impress many a visitors to your house.

False ceiling are no rocket science, they are simply a supported ceiling below your regular ceiling. The look that these false ceiling give to your house depends on your use of it, you can use it to make your ceiling look higher, or create a lot of false illusions. You nestle different false ceilings to give a layered look and you can add different forms of lightening to create a more dramatic look for the room. There are mainly three types of materials used in false ceilings, these are Gypsum, metal and Plaster of Paris. Each material comes with its own unique look and benefits.

Gypsum has been the favorite due to its light weight, flexibility and fire resistant properties. Gypsum panels can be squared or tapered and you can easily fill the gaps in between through lighting panels. Metal ceilings are used in rooms requiring a clean and minimalist look; it is best suited for places with heavy machinery or industrial sized rooms. Finally, Plaster of Paris is suited for ceilings of living rooms as they get hard instantly and provide a smooth and clean look. If you are one who likes minimum furniture but maximum looks false ceiling design are your best bets.
